Pilates in Motion offers a highly personal and effective approach, grounded in deep anatomical knowledge and adaptable to each client’s unique needs.

Applying traditional Pilates with biomechanics and precision, and incorporating breathing techniques,  Tracy has developed a distinctive approach to help her members reach their goals.

Known for her personal touch, humor, vivid imagery, and ability to make complex concepts come alive, Tracy makes the learning experience both inspiring and unforgettable, thus making her stand out from the norm. 

Just like fingerprints, learning styles are unique to each individual. Recognizing and respecting these variations is essential to applying Joseph Pilates’ timeless principles while integrating modern movement science.

The safety and effectiveness of Tracy’s classes have been refined through a quarter century of collaboration with doctors, physiotherapists, chiropractors, biokineticists and sports coaches.

BACKGROUND 

I began and completed my Pilates mat training in 2008 with Healthy Living Education under Gerda Miller and Colette de Vries. Following this, I did an internship with Gerda Miller for a year learning more about client’s special needs and pathology.

My first love of exercise came from ballet which I started at the age of 4 years old. When I was in high school, I participated in gymnastics and diving and my love of exercise continued once I finished school.

In 1986, I completed a Fitness and Nutrition Diploma course and taught Aerobics classes for three years. I always knew fitness was my passion and in 2008 I started studying to become a Pilates Trainer.

  • Basic Anatomy / Stability Systems and Assessment Strategies;
  • Pilates Mat;
  • Equipment for Pilates Mat;
  • Specificity and Rehabilitation;
  • Pilates Reformer (Basic, Essential and Intermediate);
  • Prenatal and Postnatal Pilates.

Seventeen years on, my love of Pilates, movement and exercise has grown and I have experience in group classes, private classes, duet classes, Reformer classes and prenatal/postnatal classes.
